The Alumni Association of UCSF (AAUCSF) is the umbrella association that enhances and expands upon the offerings of each school-based alumni association.

The purpose of the Alumni Association of UCSF (AAUCSF) is to advance the interests of the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) by engaging alumni, faculty, trainees, and students in the activities of, and in support of, UCSF and the alumni associations and other support groups of the Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and the Graduate Division.

The membership of AAUCSF consists of all degree-holding graduates of UCSF, current and past trainees at UCSF, including housestaff, residents, fellows, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students, current members or former full-time, part-time and adjunct members of the faculty, and those persons so declared by actions of the Board of Directors of AAUCSF.

Founded in 1976, AAUCSF is governed by the Board of Directors, supported by the Faculties, Staffs and Deans’ Offices of the schools of UCSF.

The Board oversees the Alumni Association’s efforts to engage, advance and support the campus-wide community and its students and alumni through a variety of programs and services as well as opportunities for volunteerism and advocacy.

The board has four (4) sub-committees that board members serve on:

  • Advocacy
  • Alumni Weekend
  • Diversity & Outreach
  • Student & Alumni

  • Members of the Board are elected based on their demonstrated leadership, involvement, support and commitment to UCSF and the Alumni Association. To that end, we hope to engage a diverse group of alumni as Board members who are eager to commit their time and share their wisdom in representing our alumni constituency.
